Default Why do I have 20 Energy :(

This is simple, we gain health per lvl, we should gain energy per lvl.

I know that we have low mp and high regen so your spells arn't so stacked, I don't think we should get another 100 energy by lvl 20 so don't spaz.

I just think 1 energy per lvl would be nice, we have 400+ health at lvl 20, having 40 energy at the end of the game would make the battles more interesting and fun. Currently, mages don't get anymore energy then warrior realy, they just have energy boosting armor. Energy boosting armor on top of an extra 20 mp at lvl 20 wouldn't be a big difference IMO, just more fun, mage classes are still going to have double the regeneration, this just gives warrior and ranger the ability to cast some expensive spells wile giving the mages enough energy to cast 2 powerful spells without going "broke".

They can increase some of the ultimate spells so they are more difficult to cast then the common ones, and increase the mesmers energy destroying spells so they balance with more energy. I personally think that ultimate spells should cost more anyhow, so you can cast mid lvl and weak spells alot more compared to elite spells, giving elite spells more effectiveness and cost.

20 more energy, 1 energy per lvl, 20 more at lvl 20, how about it?

Instead of increasing energy per level, you gain increased energy efficiency.

That is, you gain attribute points which buff the power of the skills you have, so it takes less firepower to achieve the same effect as in lower levels.

Instead of 2 flares for 20 damage a piece, you'd have the power to do 1 flare for 40, and thus save 50% of your energy.

At least, I think that's what they were going for >.>

More or less yes that is what they are for, more damage or power for each spell, for the same amount of energy.

My fire magic is almost maxed out so Flares do 50 damage per hit!

But the best example is my Healing Prayers which is currently "3", if I move this to "4" my area heal goes from doing 60 to 70, and healing breeze goes from 4 per sec, to 5 per sec...

Most Elemenalists would want to max out energy storage so they can use their spells constantly over a period of time.
